Worked in Yuantong until 5 pm. Had English corner on important events in 2011, but it seems that I was more interested in that topic than students. Oh well. Sometimes I feel hopeless about their hobbies. Shopping, money, dating shows on TV, others’ privacy. I know not everybody is alike, but sometimes it’s really hard to predict their reactions to what I want to share with them. Sometimes there’s the wall.
Went to the cinema and watched “Flowers of War” directed by Zhang Yimou. Enjoyed it a lot, cried a little, cause it was very very sad…
New Year’s Eve spent at home with C. and Jill who joined us just a few minutes before midnight. I don’t need to go to bars to have a good time. What’s more, I can have a good time just because I don’t go to bars!
Went for a quick haircut, then bought some doughnuts and pastries in 85C cafe, went back home… Nice, lazy afternoon.
Last night I was listening to the radio, Polish Radio 3 – just like the old times back home! They presented the most beautiful, the best, the most popular songs of all times. Unfortunately I couldn’t resist sleeping before the show ended, missed the last, final hour!
Dinner at 味千拉面, a Japanese restaurant near my apartment. I like it there. Good food, nice atmosphere, no crowds, smiling cute waiter. It’s so easy to make me happy!
Sometimes eating alone doesn’t have to mean lonely. There more time to think about less important things.. such as: what’s the title of that Chinese song I heard in 85C? I forgot to ask C. at home.
It’s getting much colder these days, only 3-4 degrees in daytime! Wearing a cap, a scarf and gloves non-stop. Mama would be proud.
Thinking about traveling to Guangxi with Jim in 3 weeks! Exciting! He has planned everything!
Couldn’t sleep at night! Wtf! I had a terrible stomachache, felt like going to the toilet, but then nothing came out. Morning was awful, took a pill for a stomachache, got a diarrhea… But still decided to go to work. I have a strong sense of responsibility.
I had my application class for the lowest levels and all I could think of was: sit down, otherwise you’ll faint, you fool! Somehow I managed to finish the class and asked my boss for a sick leave. Of course I hadn’t eaten anything in the morning due to the stomachache, I must have been very weak.
Went home at 2 o’clock and fell asleep immediately. Must have had a fever because it was so hot despite only 20 degrees set on our A/C! Luckily in the evening it was much better, I even had enough strength to quarrel with C., however I didn’t each much for the whole day.
I hate being sick, because there’s not much I can do about it.
Jim told me that the tickets to Liuzhou (柳州) in Guangxi are very expensive, but I still want to go!
I’ve been listening to the live CD by Icelandic group Sigur Rós “Inni”. It sounds so beautiful at this time of year…
