wash that sugar down

"Let’s go down
Wash that sugar down
You gotta realize that there ain’t no party
like the party going on in my house
Better believe that it’s gonna be the biggest night of the year
Because there ain’t no party
like the party going on in my house
but it would be so much better if you were only here"

cherish the day

Last week I worked for 6 days. This week will be similar. Yesterday in my school in Xiaoshan I thought I could fall asleep within 2 minutes. If only there was a bed… Luckily I overcame those moments of weakness. I came back home in the evening, talked to Kevin for some time (I like talking to him, I do regard him as my younger brother)… and at 10 pm I was already sleeping.
There was a Halloween party organized by school. I didn’t attend it, too exhausted. I regret it a bit but it’s best not to think about it. That’s also a title of Athlete’s song. Athlete is a British band, their music is called indie, it’s melancholic, has touching melodies and (still) rock sounds. I like it a lot.
Best not to think about it – about problems, being tired, money stuff, lost chances, reject and disappointment.
Cherish the day.

lost friendship

I lost a friend. Reason? Damn money. As always. Money sucks so much, so obviously. We sold our friendship for damn 10000 RMB. I’m so frustrated and angry. I told him some invectives and so did he. Has the atmosphere been freshened? Not really.
It’s disgusting what money makes with people.
Materialistic pigs, materialistic world, money rules the world. Not my world.
Teardrops.

different visions

There have been parliament elections in Poland on Sunday. And the results showed that people were not satisfied with our government and the leading party. Great. Neither was I. We changed the conservative party to more liberal one, more pro-business, more pro-European and less pro-American one. I guess it’s positive; Poland is in Europe, we are in EU, so it’s an obvious thing that priority in our relations should be for European countries. I think I’m an idealist but I believe in European unity, that we can create something common – only if we co-operate with each other. Conservatists had different idea for Poland’s future.. they wanted to be tough and nationalistic. It’s not my vision.
I bought air-tickets so it means that I’ll be back to China next year. I’ll spend Christmas holiday at home.. I’ll be out of China from December 17th to January 24th. Over a month. We’ll see how it goes this time. I think I have some doubts about going back home… Different vision again.

it’s time to shine

I cut my hair and some people were shocked. And I was shocked because they were shocked. In China boys usually don’t have very short hair, some of them look almost like girls… at least very girly! My hair doesn’t grow very fast, it’s enough to cut it once in 3 months. Now it’s fresh and young. I feel like a young god again! It’s time to shine!
Teaching everyday makes my life stable and secure. Swimming several times a week makes it energetic. Talking about food everytime I meet Chinese people ("have you eaten yet? what did you eat? where? with whom? using chopsticks?") makes me want to shout "Stop it!!". I know it’s a Chinese custom but I’m getting tired… I will never get used to it. At first it made me smile, then I thought it was ridiculous, now I want to hit the one who asks. Oh yes, I’m exaggerating. Stop complaining, people are nice.

kingdom

"Can you feel me coming

Open the door, it’s only me

I have that desperate feeling

In trouble is where I’m going to be

I know you hear me knocking

So open the door and set me free

If there’s a kingdom beyond it all

Is there a god who loves us all

Do we believe in love at all

I’m still pretending, I’m not a fool"

collection

Feeling lonely today. Perhaps it’s because everybody’s working while I’m free.
Feeling cold although outside temperature is about 20 degrees. My feet are constantly cold. I need to wear warm socks. That sucks, doesn’t it?
I bought some DVDs and CDs. It looks like my collection is growing in a fast speed.

DVDs:
"Munich" (directed by Steven Spielberg);
"The Best Of Depeche Mode" (a collection of music videos);
"The Da Vinci Code" (directed by Ron Howard) – I know I’m late, I don’t care;
"Hostel" (directed by Quentin Tarantino);
"No End" (directed by Krzysztof Kieślowski) – I was so surprised to see Polish director’s movies in China, so I bought them immediately;
"Amateur" (directed also by Krzysztof Kieślowski) – I’m proud to be Polish at this particular moment;
"George Michael – Twenty Five" (a collection of music videos);
"Michael Jackson – The Ultimate Collection";
"Horror In The East" (a BBC documentary about cruelty of the Japanese over China and Hong Kong);
"Amelie From Montmartre" (directed Jean-Pierre Jeunet) – a French movie, very popular in Europe.

CDs:
James Blunt, "All The Lost Souls";
Gareth Gates, "Pictures Of The Other Side";
Blackfield, "Blackfield";
Blackfield, "Blackfield II";
Michael Buble, "Call Me Irresponsible";
Seal, "Best 1991-2004".

Quite many. I guess I got collector’s nature.

sleepy

This autumn I’m sleepy. My eyes are closing so easily!! I still swim 2-3 times a week, but if I didn’t have a strong will (I do have), I wouldn’t get up at 7 and go to the swimming pool.
These days I miss my family. It’s been a long time since we saw each other, it’ll take 2 months more until I’ll see them again. Of course I know that when I’ll go home, after first moments of excitement I will complain about boredom, but now it seems to be so sweet and lazy!
Hong Kong trip was fabulous, I still keep returning there in my memories. To meet Ricky is always a pure pleasure. To go to Ocean Park is always a pure craziness. This time I also visited Macau but the casino city didn’t impress me as much as Hong Kong.
OK, time to sleep again, I want to use every moment to take rest before classes.

1973

"I would call you up every Saturday night
And we’d both stay out ’til the morning light
And we sang ‘Here we go again’
And though time goes by
I will always be
In a club with you
In 1973
Singing ‘Here we go again’"
