It got warmer (the temperature is about 0 degrees) and immediately I got cold. I have running nose, sore throat and feeling shitty. And it is not the best moment to be ill because I have just started to work… and it would look very strange if I took few days off now! So I have to suffer. Poor Chris.

national mourning

Poland is in mourning after a trade hall in Katowice (southern Poland) collapsed on a gathering of world pigeon enthusiasts, killing at least 66 people and injuring many more. Some 500 people were in the trade hall for a pigeon exhibition when the roof caved in – possibly under the weight of snow – on Saturday. The country is in shock after what the president called an unprecedented catastrophe. One survivor described the scenes of panic and chaos immediately after the roof collapsed. "We heard something snap like a match breaking and people started to panic right away, realising what was happening," said the unnamed survivor. Hundreds of rescuers with sniffer dogs worked through the night as temperatures dropped to -15 degrees. Police said people had been telephoning from inside on mobile phones, reporting dead bodies near them.

leisure

On Monday I’m going to work. Woohoo! My leisure period has finally ended. Good thing that I had time to get the certificate (I passed all with 94%!!)… And my new job is… actually I don’t know exactly  – something like a specialist in Internet. I will have to search for foreign suppliers in Internet. Great job, isn’t it? Maybe it is not very developing but I’m not going to stay there long. I will work there for about 2 months and then I’m going abroad. Woohoo!

Therefore I will have time to pass my driving exam, to get driving license and to set all formalities here before flight. What’s more important I will have a money to buy a ticket… Well, I have some money but it is always better to have more – just in case!

I’m closer everyday to the greatest adventure in my life so far. Wow.

Oh, who would have thought that it will be even colder than yesterday? Today it was -26 degrees, lessons in schools have been cancelled, many cars couldn’t be driven because of the frozen fuel. Wow, we are very close to the record of the lowest temperature ever!

I promised Joyce that I will write a poem for her…  I’m gonna do it someday ’cause she deserves it. She is just cute and pure – she even said that she can pick me up from the airport in Shanghai! Oh yes, I appreciate, I will need help during first days abroad. These days are coming, are closer and closer! Wow, I am so excited.

Sometimes I think I should be humbler ’cause my life-luck can disappear very quickly… but these are just supersticions. I don’t believe them. Only if you reach high, you win the most! Some might say that if you expect nothing, you will avoid disappoinments – yes, that’s true, but then the life would lose this special excitement…! I feel like middle-age discoverer who’s sailing off the harbour. I will find my place on the earth!

Siberia

It’s so cold nowadays! The real winter (Siberian winter!) has come to Poland, thus today we have -20 degrees during the day!! Additionally it has been snowing for the whole yesterday and everything is covered by white miracle… Beautiful weather although it’s "a bit" too freezy! Good thing that we have central heating. And what’s the most important, friendly people can warm up others’ hearts in the best way…

red wine

I have just come back from my friends’… I met Adrian and Asia – wonderful people who I haven’t seen for almost two months! It was so pleasant evening – I could say "as always" ’cause I always feel good at theirs. We watched a movie – "100 Girls" – by the way very stupid American comedy but who cares! When you are among friends, nothing really matters.

We were drinking red wine, home-made wine by Adrian. It was his first wine ever and I have to admit: very good… I like drinking wine, it makes an evening so unique. And now in my head many weird things happen.  It’s late… actually 2 hours more and my Chinese friends should appear online; but I don’t think I am able to wait for them… although it is a great pleasure to talk with them. Calvin and Joyce – wonderful people thanks to whom I have the power to move the mountains. Have I already said that I’m a lucky person? Yes, I have… and that’s true!

Some may think I am crazy that I want to go to the end of the world… ’cause at the moment almost everybody goes to work to Great Britain or Ireland – while I am dreaming about China. That is the point; I want to make my dreams come true and I have the will to do it. Isn’t it a happiness itself? Please, be open-minded and try to think about your lives through different aspects than only money. I can see life is wonderful; you can also see that! Postitive attitude is not an illusion, it really exists.
