radio

Last Thursday I went to the radio. Radio! Zhejiang Radio – for the whole province.
My school offerred me a great opportunity – the teachers are sometimes invited to have their own radio-show. And it was my turn!
I had to prepare 6 songs, hopefully my favourite ones.And we recorded the program!
How exciting! How nervous! How brilliant!
It’s been my dream for ages to be in the radio!
The songs I chose were:
– "Talk" by Coldplay – because talking is important, which is obvious even for such a un-talkative person as me;
– "Sing" by Travis – because I love singing (let’s forget that it’s only when nobody can hear);
– "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter – because it’s such an optimistic song! It makes me happy everytime I listen to it;
– "60 Miles An Hour" by New Order – because I love driving and I miss it;
– "Music Non Stop" by Kent – because music is my life and Kent is my favourite band;
– "霍元甲" (Huo Yuan Jia) by 周杰伦 (Jay Chou) – because he is my favourite Chinese artist and I love this track!

… and today it was on air! Well, I felt very weird to hear my voice. My friends told me my face turned red. Like a beetroot! Oh god. I could feel it was red.
I was a bit disapointed after the show ended. They cut off many of my parts. Instead of 6 songs, they played only 3. The rest of the time was filled by advertisements, which are much more important in Chinese radio than the hosts and their guests. Anyway, I feel happy!
My another dream came true.

I’m staying in the office today. Working until evening, so unfortunately I can’t make a good use of that day. Unless you think that earning money is a good use of time. Ha!
