IMHO

My Polish friend Chris (yes, yes, another Chris! but this one is chris975 ) created a messageboard – a forum where everybody can write what they are interested in. The messageboard is mainly about music (but not only) and mainly for Polish people.. but there’s one place for speaking English only. So if you have time and will, please register (in Polish it’s "rejestracja") on the following website: http://imho.mojeforum.net. The English forum is here.
I hope it’s not too complicated to register. Haha, Polish is easy!
And… I have a question: what does IMHO stand for?  Yes, yes, everybody knows it, at least I hope so.

shopping

I bought a washing machine yesterday. I decided to do it because I want to feel fully independent here. So far I had to wash clothes in my hands or to use Wind’s washing machine. She’s so nice to help me but I guess it will be better if I learn to use it by myself. I’m already a grown-up, aren’t I?
After I had bought it I noticed a fridge, small fridge, exactly the one I wanted to have. I told Calvin (he helped me yesterday) that since I’m already doing shopping, I can buy also a fridge. But what was amazing – I couldn’t do it because the shoplifter told us that she didn’t have it on stock!! I was so disappointed and confused. Why, the hell, do they keep products on display that they can’t sell? In Europe it would be unbelievable… If we want to buy something, we just do it, that’s simple. If there’s a demand from a customer, the factory will meet his requirements. Well, I live in China and I still have to get used to many weirdnesses. China is different and there are strange rules here.
Last week I started to teach some private students. They are a Christian group in Hangzhou, they are all very religious and positive in thinking. They need an English teacher to improve their listening and speaking skills. So.. here I am! If they like my lessons, we will have 2 hours every week. Thanks being a teacher I have so many opportunities to meet people… people whom I would never have met in different circumstances!
I always try to find a bright side of everything I do, everywhere I am and in everyone I meet. Sometimes there are moments of doubts and low mood but they happen to everybody. The whole world deserves to be noticed.

did you forget to take your meds?

"I was alone,
Staring over the ledge,
Trying my best not to forget
All manner of joy
All manner of glee
And our one heroic pledge

How it mattered to us,
How it mattered to me,
And the consequences

I was confused,
By the birds and the bees
Forgetting if I meant it

Baby did you forget to take your meds?

And the sex and the drugs and the complications"

photos

I added some new photos as the internet finally is faster.
These are photos from recent parties in KTV – Kevin has just graduated from WEB and organized the dinner and KTV-singling for friends. And I was also there!
Nice event, wonderful people and the head full of cigarette smoke… and beer.
Enjoy.

I wish

What can I say..
Internet sucks.
See you when I’m better.
There are only moments of sunshine.
Feeling good? Haha, I wish.

This week I was listening to Polish blues-rock band called Dzem (it’s like Jam). They have the most beautiful songs about loneliness and crying – and they are so real.

… samotnosc to taka straszna trwoga
ogarnia mnie, przenika mnie
wiesz, mamo, wyobrazilem sobie, ze
ze nie ma Boga, nie
nie ma Boga

… czasem placze, bo
chce mi sie plakac
wtedy czuje, ze
uchodzi ze mnie zlosc

Don’t ask me to translate the lyrics. I don’t think I want to do it.
One more song fits to my present mood: it’s "The World Is Black" by Good Charlotte, hehe. It’s so awful day.
I have a dream. I won’t tell anybody about it. It’s only mine. Tschuess.

enhance

I started to worry about my company. I feel like they totally forgot about me. Nobody contacts me during working time, nobody’s online, I have no replies to my emails. I’ve done everything I could,  now I can only wait. It’s a strange feeling, and not very good. You may say that I could be happy and take some rest – but I don’t think like that. I want to work, I want to get a sense of achievement.
I talked online with Oliver yesterday night. I couldn’t fall asleep… I told him that I sometimes I feel lonely… especially recently. Calvin went to USA for business trip, Oliver works in Linan (not so near to Hangzhou city), Jack works in Ningbo (another city in Zhejiang), Lili is preparing for her exams and studying very hard, Joyce… has her own problems. So many people went somewhere, they are all busy everyday. I also want to be busy.
I had dinner with Ben yesterday. Ben is my frequent reader, he often writes interesting comments to my blog. You may check also his blogging! Just go to http://ben20021959.spaces.live.com – he keeps on writing in English, very promising for future.
And today I met Wind. We chatted for some time and she invited me to her friends’ English salon. That’s so good when people are willing to organize something within their surrounding. To improve your personality, to enhance yourself everyday is very humanistic, isn’t it?
Be active in your lives – that’s crucial.

KTV

I’m having quite busy days, not only for working and teaching. I had a wonderful dinner on Sunday evening – together with Chen Chen and his parents. We went to the Japanese restaurant. Wow, the food was so delicious and I was so full!! The evening was very nice because Chen Chen’s parents are so charming. I didn’t feel any distance in front of them. They’d like to invite me more often…
I’ve been in Webi everyday since I came back to China. I told my students about the time I spent in Poland, I showed them the pictures, I even demonstrated them how to play the flute! Haha, it was so interesting and it seems they liked me playing some Polish songs.
Kevin invited me to KTV yesterday. He will graduate from Webi soon and he will go back to Shaoxin where his parents live. I feel sad about it but I know the life is like that. Anyway, yesterday we celebrated! There were quite many people with us. We drank.. Polish vodka. Yes, yes, we bought it in China! It is called "Wyborowa" (what means "choice" or "excellent"). Oh, I was so drunk! Drinking, singing, dancing – I had a great time.
And today I woke up at 2 pm…

empty streets

"The city feels clean this time of night
Just empty streets
And me walking home to clear my head
I know it came as no surprise
I’m affected more than I had guessed on what was said

If the smile’s not meant to be
If the heart’s not ready to open
If we make it I won’t see it’s broken"
