Koh Samui

Is that a paradise? Holiday time!

I’ll update later…

May 29th

6:36 am – a train to Shanghai Hongqiao, then a shuttle bus to Pudong Airport… Quick breakfast at KFC.

12:25 pm – China Eastern flight MU 541 to Bangkok. Soundtrack: Radiohead’s “Amnesiac”, “Kid A”, “The King Of Limbs” – quite weird, but I didn’t have a very good mood due to one of my Polish friend’s suicide few days earlier…

3:30 pm (Bangkok time), 4:30 pm (Beijing time) – arrival at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport. Check-in the hotel in Bangkok suburbs. Dinner: spicy soup, minced pork, cucumber and cabbage salad.

In the evening: a trip to the city centre… Chong Nonsi BRT station (my previous hotel’s location), 2nd dinner: spaghetti carbonara, very spicy sea food rice. Walk to Surawong Road, a bar street with many boys and girls dancing, many massage parlours.

11 pm – back to the hotel. Hot. 34 degrees Celsius. Tired. Soundtrack: 林俊杰 (JJ Lin) – “她说”, 周杰伦 (Jay Chou) – fast tracks.

May 30th

4 am – get up! Morning call! So difficult…

4:30 am – a shuttle bus to the airport. Check-in AirAsia flight to Surat Thani, the plane left at 7 am, estimated arrival time at 8:10 am. Breakfast at Starbucks (sandwich B.L.T. – with sausage, tomatoes and cucumber + black coffee). Some toilet problems, as always in a new place – embarrassing!

7:50 am – arrived at Surat Thani International Airport! Earlier! Very small airport… Good weather: 28 degrees Celsius, breeze, some clouds). Took a bus to the ferry pier (called Donsak Pier) – it takes about 1,5 hours to get to Koh Samui.

Bus + ferry – ticket costs 350 baht per person…
